Helen Elyse Row was a serial flow girl as a child. She has been planning events since her junior prom (this is a heartwarming story if you ever want to hear it).
After studying Public Relations and Event Management at university and abroad in London, Helen moved from outside DC back to her hometown of Richmond, VA. The first weekend home, she introduced herself to the owner of a local photo booth at a brunch market, saying, “One day, I’ll be a wedding planner.” From that week on, she worked part-time as a photo booth operator, photographer assistant, and later as a venue coordinator while working full-time in advertising.
In her corporate positions, she planned events in conjunction with the Boston Red Sox, multiple international brands, and, most notably, Sam Kass, the Senior Policy Advisor for Nutrition Policy and Chef under President Obama.
She planned rooftop dinner parties, tasting in SoHo, influencer events at Fenway Park, and wine tasting at Chateau Marmont. Her design work has been featured in HGTV, DIY, and The New York Times.
With experience working as a vendor and as a venue coordinator at multiple wedding venues, Helen has seen a wedding day from all sides. Inspired by art, design, fashion, and love stories, Helen and her team create events and wedding days that transcend beyond trends. Sonder Event Co. is a lifelong dream realized.
